# Add another attempt

If a student needs another attempt at a test, follow the steps below:

1. Access the test.
2. Click on the **Submissions** Tab.
4. Locate the student's name.
5. In the same row as the name, click on the **Ellipsis** (3 dots) to the right of the name, and select **Add or edit exceptions**.
6. Select the number of **Attempts allowed**, and change any other settings if needed.
