We have noted that students are not equally prepared for tertiary studies. We recognise the diversity of student experiences within our classes and accept the argument that “access without support is not opportunity ”. We know that technology does not have all the answers. We are working together on establishing a set of norms where receiving support is welcome and ongoing. We think that technology offers the means toproactively consider the needs of all students and offer necessary support to accomplish academic goals.
Refer to this part of the Hybrid learning field guide to learn how to provide support to your students:
- Bring your own device
- Minimum levels
- Technical instructions
- Data informed advice and support
- Using UID to design support.
When a course is well planned and designed, it will aid the students on their learning journey. Therefore it is important to consider the teaching and learning strategies when you plan and design your course. This part of the Hybrid learning field guide describes:
- Engagement and cognition
- Flipped learning
- Backwards design
- Techno teacher checklist.
