Virtual Classroom Options at UP

The University of Pretoria (UP) provides two primary virtual classroom platforms for staff and students: Class Collaborate and Class for Teams (newly integrated in 2026). Both tools are seamlessly integrated directly into clickUP to support interactive online and hybrid learning.

How to Access Virtual Classrooms in clickUP

• Class Collaborate: Navigate to the Content tab and access it via the Details & Actions menu on the right side of the screen.

• Class for Teams: On your course page, click the + (plus) icon and select the Content Market option to launch the tool.

What is Class for Teams?

Class for Teams is a specialized virtual classroom platform built directly on top of Microsoft Teams. It transforms standard video conferencing into a highly interactive educational environment by layering dedicated instructor-led tools, persistent virtual rooms, and seamless Learning Management System (LMS) integration.
