If you are looking for the Study Guide Templates, it is available on this link.
Due to various necessary content additions, the UP study guides became very bulky and unfocused lately. In future, each department will also create its own Departmental Guidelines. This document will contain guidelines pertaining to policies, procedures, rules, regulations, support services, etc. These could be contextualised by each department where relevant. This generic “Departmental Guidelines” document should be uploaded on all clickUP modules/websites.
The module study guides focus on module-specific information only and refer to the Departmental Guidelines by means of a link, without repeating all the details.
Please check and update section 4.9 in your Study Guide to ensure it aligns with how marks are shown in the clickUP Gradebook.
The Current Grade and the Semester Mark are the same for semester modules. For year modules, the Progress Grade is the Current Grade displayed in the Gradebook.
In the assessment explanation, please label the row as either “Semester Mark/Current Grade” or “Semester Mark (Current Grade)” so that students understand the terminology.
The final column in the assessment list must not say “Weighting in relation to final mark”. This wording is incorrect and causes confusion. It should only say “Weighting”. The default template divides that value by two before it contributes to the final mark, which leads to mistakes if the wording is not corrected.
We have adjusted the layout slightly on our side and can share an example if needed. Updating this section will help students understand how their marks are calculated and prevent misunderstandings later in the semester.
